Level A Packing

Protection required to meet the most severe worldwide shipment, handling, and storage conditions. A Level A pack must, in tandem with the applied method of preservation, be capable of protecting material from the effects of direct exposure to the extremes of climate, terrain, and operational and transportation environments.

MIL-STD, MIL-SPEC, or MilSpecs

Used to help achieve standardization objectives by the U.S. Department of Defense. MilSpecs ensure products meet certain requirements, commonality, reliability, total cost of ownership, compatibility with logistics systems, and similar defense-related objectives.

RFID

An RFID device which modulates and reflects a carrier signal from an interrogator. Passive RFID tags operate without a separate external power source and obtain operating power generated from the reader.

IUID

A system of establishing unique item identifiers within the DoD by assigning a machine-readable character string or number to a discrete item, which serves to distinguish it from other like and unlike items.

Kitting

GIGA Inc. is dedicated to the assembly and delivery of military deployment kits. Each order is customized to your needs from sock and boots to tactical gear used in the battlefield. Each kit meets the soldier’s necessary needs – not just for comfort, but for survival. We understand the deployment kit requirements are both critical and time sensitive. GIGA Inc. treats these as urgent orders from the time they are received until they are delivered. The highest priority is given to each step of the order process:

  • Order Entry:
Steps are taken to ensure orders are entered correctly. They are checked and rechecked for accuracy.
  • Expediting:
Established relationships with suppliers provide us with the assurance of prompt delivery of products not already in our huge inventory.
  • Packing:
Our goal is to consolidate each kit into one box for easy distribution.
  • Shipping:
We safeguard drop shipments with proper labeling, allowing for easy tracking.

Deployment kits are crucial for a warrior to prevail. At GIGA Inc., we take that mission seriously. Once we have the package, our job doesn’t stop there. GIGA Inc. prints and adheres the mandatory labeling on each package which enables it to be tracked every step of the way. GIGA Inc. recognizes the importance of protection in the field of battle, as well as on the way to the field. Each kit meets the soldier’s needs – not just for comfort, but for survival.
